New emergency-stops with M12 connection

SCHLEGEL is expanding the Shortron-connect series with 3 new models

The specialist for electrotechnics GEORG SCHLEGEL is expanding its Shortron connect series with three new emergency-stop switches with an 8-pole M12 connector. These switches are made for industrial use with a higher focus on robustness and safety.

With the models FRVKOO_C231, FRVKOOI_C232 and FRVKLOO_C233 SCHLEGEL presents three new and improved emergency-stop switches that are equipped with an A coded M12 connector with 8 poles. The connection technology enables a fast and secure installation. The emergency-stop switches are made for 22.3 mm mounting holes and are, if cable is connected, IP65 and IP67 in the front and on the rear.

These switches are made for demanding industrial environments. They can be stored in temperatures between –40 °C and 80 °C and can be operated in temperatures between –25 °C and 70°C without concern.

Depending on the design, the emergency-stop devices are equipped either with two NC contacts or with a combination of two NC contacts and one NO contact. The NC contacts are with positive opening according to EN60947-5-1. The switching capacity is 30 V at 0.5 A in AC or DC. All switches have a lifetime of 50.000 switching cycles. Release by twisting left or right.

The emergency-stop switches also meet important safety and quality requirements and are certified by UL and TÜV and are in accordance with EN 60947-5-1, EN 60947-5-5 and EN ISO 13850.

With the series Shortron connect SCHLEGEL is targeting machine and plant manufacturers who rely on standard-compliant and installation-friendly operating systems. Characteristic features of the series include high degrees of protection, a compact design, an attractive appearance, and the use of pre-assembled M12 connection technology.
