The modular operating concept for bus systems - designed by Georg Schlegel GmbH & Co. KG -  enables fast and flexible assembly of control panels and machinery with reduced wiring. The operating concept consists of a bus-specific basic module that can be expanded with up to 15 bus-independent I/O expansion modules. Advantage: Each module is equipped with eight contact blocks with illuminating option. A total of 128 control points with 128 signal lamps can thus be integrated cost-effectively. Schlegel thereby resorts to standardised modules, which reduces costs further. To implement individual requirements, these modules may be supplemented with customised modules. The modular operating concept is available for the bus systems AS-Interface, CANopen, Profibus, EtherCAT, Profinet I/O and Ethernet IP

With its uniqe and compact design concept of the SHORTRON series, SCHLEGEL is raising the bar. This series scores with an extremely low front bezel height (pushbutton 2 mm) and an operating travel of only 2.3 mm, as well as with its shallow mounting depth of 9 or max.16 mm!
